I mean, did you know that with respect to money spent, back-to-school shoppers spend almost $50 billion annually? Mother’s Day shopping is exceeded only by Valentine’s Day buying. Additional retail “holidays” include St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween, the Super Bowl, Father’s Day and Easter.
Staying competitive and bringing in those buyers calls for a smart advertising campaign that includes signs. But what types of signage should you include for your retail location?
- Window graphics. Window clings are quick and easy to put up and take down so you can change the look of your store’s windows in just an hour or two. Some retailers have even created an attractive vinyl decal frame for their store windows. Then as the seasons and holidays change they add new window graphics to the mix to promote current products. This way they are always marketing to the most current buying moods of customers.
- Floor graphics. If you’re looking for a new way to get your message noticed, consider floor graphics. They are some of the most noticeable point-of-sale signs available. Add them to your holiday-themed retail signage to compliment your other marketing material. Floor graphics are becoming more common in grocery stores, but you’ll be out ahead of the curve by adding them to your boutique, toy store or pet store.
- Banners. Seasonal banners have the power to create lots of buzz outside your store. When you hang them above or below your standard signage, you immediately attract the notice of shoppers by having “something different” on your building’s façade.
