Do you think angels would still be cool without their halos? Sure, they’d still have wings (at least the one who saved George Bailey would), but there’s something about the halo that really makes them special. Fortunately, some forward-thinking sign makers have harnessed the power of the halo to make signs more noticeable. Postal Connections benefited from this when they contacted Specialty Graphic Solutions for halo lit lobby signs in Hazel Dell, WA.
Postal Connections? Is that a Dating Site for Mail Carriers?
Nope. But, that’s a hilarious guess. Postal Connections serves as the “back-office” for small business people and other busy individuals. They become their clients’ outpost for passport photos, gift shop, personal mailroom, communication center, packer and shipper, photocopy department, and more. They do everything from receiving business and personal faxes to notarizing documents. They offer dozens of locations across the United States. The Vancouver location is on Northeast Highway 99 in Hazel Dell.
When a business that does so much to support local businesses and households came to us for interior halo lit logo wall signs for Hazel Dell, WA, we told them neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night would stay us from our swift completion of their marker. The new owners of the Postal Connections store in Hazel Dell moved to a new location, and they wanted to put the spotlight on their brand. We knew just what to do!
How We Helped Postal Connections
When we first met with Postal Connections, we learned exactly what they had in mind for this project. Based on their venue, branding, and budget, we came up with a series of designs that fit their needs. They made an excellent choice of a simple design that would make their logo shine with low voltage LEDs.
We started with a 3mm brushed silver finish aluminum composite sign material panel. This is a lightweight solution that serves as an affordable way to get the look of metal. We then applied the stamp element of their logo using digitally printed vinyl adhesive. To give the logo some added pop, we added painted PVC dimensional letters to spell out the Postal Connections name.
To demand their clients’ attention, we used low voltage, white LED lights mounted on the back of the sign to create a halo of light around the whole sign. This helps them boost their brand awareness while still keeping their electricity bills to a minimum. Lastly, we used machined aluminum standoff mounts to install the sign on the wall. The mounting hardware matches other design elements in the store to create a cohesive look.
In the end, Postal Connections was so happy with the job we did, they almost immediately asked for more! What did we do for them? Well, you’ll just have to tune in next week at the same bat-time, same bat-blog to find out.
