Reverse laser cut aluminum letters and logo lobby sign

By | Uncategorized

Lobby signs mean business.  Cut metal logo and metal raised letters for Cedar Mountain Advisors. Their logo was challenging because they wanted it 3D to stand off from the wall but the image has a lot of fine detail.  We took a little bit of fine detail out and put it through a laser cutter.  If you look closely you can see that it is a tree and the outline of mountains.  The metal raised letters for this lobby sign project were also laser cut for the perfect lobby sign!

The Beach Babes Are Ready To Run With Custom Signs

By | Uncategorized

It’s a marathon, not a sprint! For the Beach Babes, they wanted some fun special event signs for their half marathon to mark distances and provide encouragement to participants. It would have been easy just to have plain signs with a number on them. But, the Beach Babes wanted to go the extra mile and got in touch with us. Their marker signs let people know how much more they had to go. And the custom signs displayed encouraging messages and reminded participants of the important things – like remembering to stay hydrated. The signs also doubled as a way for Beach Babes to thank partners for sponsoring the race and advertised their presence. Plus, the bright colors and different messaging meant it was something fun for runners to look for along the course. Questions? Drop us a line at hello@SGSgraphic.com or call us at (360) 635-5556 and unless we’re up to our elbows in alligators, a live person will answer. If you leave a message we will call you back pronto.

It’s a Plaid, Plaid World – iQ Credit Union’s Gets Decked Out

By | Parking Signs, Rebranding Signs, Wild Card

One of our favorite things at SGS is finding out what the new quarterly campaign theme is going to be for iQ Credit Union. They always bring us their amazing ideas and we have a blast bringing them to life. Then we went plaid! It was simple really, instead of “putting a bird on it” we’d just being going mad for plaid. The mighty signmakers of SGS really got to flex their vinyl skills when it came to all the wrapping. What did we wrap? Bikes! Barrows! A swag wagon! A car! The team certainly leveled up on reassembling bikes… Ready to roll out! The print was an extra challenge because the lines meant it needed a precise application or it would look crooked. But this didn’t thwart SGS and the cruisers and wheel barrows left with a flawless finish and perfectly plaid. The bikes were in various branches throughout the Vancouver area and members could enter to win them. The biggest piece in the campaign was the swag wagon. The wagon, formerly a plain delivery truck, was upgraded with the plaid print and the iQ logo. It certainly fits in the northwest and will catch eyes when its out in the community. Even better, if iQ decides the wagon needs to be changed up – the wrap can be removed and we can give it a totally new look. Seek the UniQue! In going plaid, we met Woodchuck Norris. Chuck was featured on parking signs and giant A-frame signs as well. And, he’s even got his best flannel on to coordinate with the campaign. Just your friendly, neighborhood woodchuck to welcome you! iQ even carried the plaid over to their website. The homepage featured members in red plaid to tie the whole promotion together. They took a simple idea and…

Picking The Best Pop Up Banner For Your Brand

By | Banners

Pop Up Banners have come a long way from being painted on a chunk of canvas. And we’re well beyond the kind you make in a word processor and tape together at the office. Large format printing and new materials make it easy to give your brand some polish. Do you want to make an impression in a snap? Let’s look at what you can do with a retractable banner. The basics: Retractable banners are designed to be portable. The banner part neatly wraps up and is protected in the case which makes for easy storage. This tool is essential for brands that travel to trade shows and need to make the most of packing space. If you happen to damage the banner or decide it’s time for a change the look to keep current – we can update the graphic. The sizes: We have a banner size for what you need. The base is about three feet wide with the printed banner itself being about 32 inches wide. Heights available are 4, 6, and 8 feet tall. Still need to go bigger? It can be done! The options: Vesta uses a table top banner to showcase sponsors for an event. Table top – This size is great for seasonal promotions in a reception area. The table top banner also works well for smaller trade show setups when you need to be economical with space. The pop of color and bold design helps Salsbury & Co get noticed. Single – One banner to rule them all. This option makes a splash and shows off your brand. Sitting at a table? A six foot banner makes a great backdrop so attendees know who you are and serves as a visual introduction before you even greet them. The Sonder Project uses a…

How Long Does a Car Wrap Last

By | Vehicle Wrap

This post talks about how to make a car wrap last.  With a vehicle wrap, it is important to have professionals installing the graphics. It might seem easy slapping down one giant sticker but there’s a lot that goes into getting a flawless and professional finish. The team at SGS uses the best vinyls that are specifically made for vehicles. It is tempting to cut out some steps and do it yourself but you run the risk of counterfeit products which don’t perform the same. This full wrap is sure to get noticed on the road or in a parking lot. There’s a lot of factors that impact how many years you’ll get out of your vehicle wrap. But the most common range is three to five years. That’s pretty fantastic for essentially a mobile billboard for your brand. Even better, no need to get sign permits for a vehicle wrap! As we’ve covered in Getting the Most Miles Out of Your Vehicle Wrap post, protection is important. If available, park your vehicle in a covered space to minimize weather. This is especially crucial if you live somewhere prone to a lot of snow storms and cold snaps. Digital printing is pretty nifty. Check out this diamond plate design for Cascade Flooring. Treat your ride right with frequent hand washing with mild soap and warm water to clean off any grime or dirt. It is tempting to go for the drive-thru car washes or power nozzles but the force and pressure can cause the vinyl to lift away. When you’re ready for a new look or need to update information on the wrap – contact the SGS team because we’ll make sure it is done right. We’ve got the training and tools to remove the wraps and keep your ride…

Caring For Your Vehicle Wrap

By | Vehicle Wrap

At SGS we’re big believers in vehicle graphics because they help you Get Noticed. After all, potential customers can see you’re out and about (plus you’ll look really cool and professional with the branding). We want your graphics to last so you get more mileage out of them. So here is a quick guide to caring for your vehicle wrap. Here’s our crew in action! Make sure your car hasn’t been waxed recently. You might think having the car detailed on the outside creates a blank surface for graphics but instead it makes for a shield. Wax creates a barrier and the adhesive of graphics cannot form a bond on the surface. As much fun as those drive thru car washes are with the multicolor foams are – they’re pretty hard on graphics. The high pressure water sprays, the spinning brushes, and the high speed dryers can weaken the adhesive of the graphics and cause it to lift off of your car. Instead, handwashing with a mild soap is ideal. This is more gentle on the vinyl and doesn’t erode the lamination. The lamination is the layer that protects your the ink on your graphics and is a UV layer to prevent sun bleaching. If you can, park the vehicle in a covered space. No garage? No worries. Just be sure to regularly clean off any dirt or mud. This is especially important in the winter months with de-icer treatments on the road – they’re quite corrosive. Need some graphics for your ride?
