Event Signs and Graphics

Signs and Graphics for Charity Poker Event by BnK Construction Benefits Dental Foundation!

By | Event Signs and Graphics, Promotional Signs

Most of us have donated money at some point in our lives. It feels pretty good knowing you’ve helped someone out, but the exchange of cash isn’t really that memorable or sentimental unless you have a particular attachment to Ben Franklin. For the rest of us, an emotional connection to these transactions comes from the fun events nonprofits put on to help raise funds. Nowadays, you can do everything from pudding wrestling to run a marathon to cuss out your caddie on the golf course for a good cause.  Special Event Signs helps drive donations.

The Dental Foundation of Oregon and BnK Construction wanted to get gamblers in on the game, so they put together a poker tournament. To show their appreciation for their many generous sponsors, they contacted Specialty Graphic Solutions for signs and graphics for charity poker events in Oregon.

What’s the BnK/DFO Charity Poker Tournament?

The BnK/DFO Charity Poker Tournament isn’t one of those rough-and-tumble card tournaments that Kenny Rogers would write about. Instead, it’s a friendly Texas hold’em poker tournament put on to raise funds for the Dental Foundation of Oregon (DFO). Their mission is to improve the oral health of Oregon’s children through programs like the Tooth Taxi, which brings direct care and oral health education to underserved children using a free mobile dental clinic. The event attracts many sponsors with our friends at BnK Construction chief among them.

When an organization that does so much to help the smiles and overall wellbeing of children came to us for signs and graphics for charity poker events in Oregon, we went all in! BnK Construction was already well aware that our mighty sign makers knew their stuff. We’d produced trade show displays for them a couple years go. We did such a great job that they came back to us for their latest project. We didn’t disappoint!

We Played Our Cards Right

Our first step in the sign making process is to meet with the client and get a good idea of what they have in mind for their project. After all, unlike the best poker players, we aren’t mind readers. They had a whole host of sponsors: table sponsors, a beer sponsor, in-kind sponsors, sponsor cocktail, coconut sponsor, sponsor gumbo, and so on. They needed a way to show their appreciation. We recommended sign panels, and once the client approved of the art proofs, we got to work fabricating them.

Since this was only a one-night event, we mainly used inexpensive materials to save the client money, such as coroplast sign panels. We applied the names of sponsors and their logos using digitally printed vinyl or by printing directly onto the coroplast sign substrate. We then finished the table sponsor panels with grommets to make them easy to hang. Other signs relied on easels. In the end, DFO and BnK were thrilled with the job we did, and the event was a great success! We’re not even bluffing!

Part of securing sponsors is showing your appreciation for their generosity and giving them some value for their donation. This is possible by making their logos and branding prevalent at your events. SGS will help with this. Need Step and Repeat Banners in Vancouver WA?

By | Banners, Event Banners, Event Signs and Graphics

Sure, we all want to be big, big stars. And, rather than watching the stars walk the red carpet. Wouldn’t it be cool if you could be the star stopping to have your picture taken? Well, not everyone can be Gary Busey or Steve Buscemi or Whoopi Goldberg, but you can make the attendees at your next big event feel like they’re getting the star treatment while blasting your branding all over Facebook with step and repeat banners in Vancouver, WA.

Lather, Rinse, Step, and Repeat

Sometimes referred to as press walls or step and repeat walls, step and repeat banners are printed with repeating patterns, such as brand logos, and serve as publicity backdrops for event photography. When the photographs are published on Instagram or Snapchat or in the society section of the newspaper, everyone is exposed to the branding, and they think, “Wow! Company A is pretty hip! I should give them my business!”

Most people when they think of this banner option envision movie premieres or other world-famous events, but we’re going to let you in on a little secret. We’re really not supposed to tell you this, and Hollywood is going to be pretty upset, but ANY business or individual can put these banners to use for their events. In fact, they’re so cost-effective that they should be part of every organization’s marketing and social media strategies.

We Are Living in a Material World

Step and repeat banners can be made from a variety of materials, including canvas, fabric, and poster paper. But, the Best Step and Repeat Banner Material in a Starring Role goes to vinyl. Vinyl takes the top award because it’s heavy duty, so you can use it year after year. We are also able to print vibrant, bright graphics on vinyl films using our state of the art large format digital printer.

The vinyl can be applied to standard trade show display frames, hung from the ceiling or a wall, or applied to a hard substrate, like foamcore or plywood. We can even supply you with a red carpet to really make people think your guests are rubbing elbows with the Clooneys and Swanks of the world.

“I Don’t Premiere Movies! When Am I Going to Need Step and Repeat Banners?!?”

Sure, Hollywood and fashion designers aren’t exactly flocking to Vancouver for their premieres and fashion shows, but these aren’t the only places where press walls are used. Consider these events:

  • Weddings
  • Annual Events
  • Family Reunions
  • Product Launches
  • Fundraising Galas

These are just some of the events where you can use step and repeat banners in Vancouver, WA. You can probably think of other opportunities to use these markers, but be careful! Your branding might end up all over social media, which will cause your phone to ring off the hook. And, Hollywood will know that we’ve let the cat out of the bag with this branding solution.

Event Signs and Graphics for Fall Festivals in Vancouver WA

By | Banners, Event Signs and Graphics, Pull Up Banners

It’s too warm and sunny to think about fall, right? Well, not to be a Debby Downer, but the rain will be back eventually. We still have plenty of great weather ahead, but it doesn’t hurt businesses to prepare for the many fall events in Vancouver. Each fall, there are dozens of festivals and other events in the area, and when you take part in these, you really increase your company’s exposure. Thankfully, Specialty Graphic Solutions is here to help you build your brand awareness with signs and graphics for fall festivals in Vancouver, WA.

Table Throws

No, table throws aren’t the hottest new festival game to hit the Pacific Northwest. They fabric covers that provide a smart way for you to market your brand while camouflaging ugly brown tables and hiding the boxes you use to carry your marketing materials. We add custom colors and prints to the throws to get your message across. They’re essentially the Dude’s rug of event graphics: they’ll really tie your booth together.

Canopy Tents

Outdoor events in the fall in Vancouver are like a box of chocolates: you never know what you’re gonna get…when it comes to the weather. You might get a lot of rain, or summer may not want to give up, and the sun’s rays could be beating down. You don’t have to worry about either of these scenarios when you have a canopy tent. The easy to assemble and transport tents are typically ten feet by ten feet, which will comfortably protect five people from Mother Nature’s rage.

A-Frames

In Historic Downtown Camas, you can expect plenty of foot traffic during the Annual Pumpkin Pageant. Vancouver businesses along Main Street get a lot of patrons during the Drink This! event. How can you get the attention of these consumers? You could try landmines, but that’s not the kind of attention you want. We recommend A-frame sidewalk signs. They get right in the way of pedestrians and force them to read your marketing message.

Banners

Every year, dozens of groups participate in the Lough Legacy Veterans Parade at Fort Vancouver. Show your support for our veterans and troops by displaying a banner thanking them for their service whether you’re part of the parade or not.

Retractable banner stands are popular for booths at fall festivals. They’re easy for one person to set up, and they provide an attractive display solution. They’re even more helpful when you use the stand to display a banner!

Flags

Whether you’re exhibiting at an event or the event is coming to you, feather flags do an excellent job of catching the eyes of everyone around. We can customize the flag to feature your unique branding, or the flag can simply spell out your best-selling products or services.

This is just a taste of what we can do to help your organization stand out at any event. If you wanna learn more about custom signs and graphics for fall festivals in Vancouver, WA, give the mighty sign makers at SGS a call today for a free consultation.
