Custom Graphics That Go with Dutch Brothers Scooter Wrap

By | Wild Card

Did you know the pacific northwest loves their coffee? One of the unique things about our region are the coffee stands. For someone around here, an explanation of that isn’t needed but for those unfamiliar – it is something very specific to the region. Not everyone has the fortune of numerous mini coffee drive thrus like we do! One of the standout brands in the Portland and Vancouver area are Dutch Brothers Coffee. Their friendly and familiar blue buildings are shining coffee beacons (and some locations even 24 hours a day!) to get the masses their java fix.

One of the first projects we got to do with Dutch Brothers Coffee was wrapping a cart for them. They brought us a blank cart and it left blue and branded – ready to serve on the go.

We’ve been on a roll lately wrapping unique rides. So when Dutch Brothers brought us a scooter, we were game. We took careful measurements and checked out database of vehicle templates to make sure our numbers were spot on. Next was the mock up process to layout the graphics so Dutch Brothers could see what the plan was.

Thunderbolts bolts and lightning are....very very exciting on this scooter. Thunderbolts bolts and lightning are….very very exciting on this scooter.

The look of the scooter graphics were very dynamic. A bit of rock n roll, airbrushed portrait on a van – but even better – because these are printed. Printed graphics meant the design elements could really be pushed to be unique. If you look at the background, the texture has halftone pattern which gives it a rich, comic book appearance. The magic and wonder of our trusty large format printer! Dutch Brothers logo takes on a glowing effect and surely will get noticed and make their energy drink memorable.

This Rebel is ready to rock.  This Rebel is ready to rock.

Scion Plaid Car Wraps in Vancouver WA for iQ Credit Union? No Problem!

By | Vehicle Wrap

Car Wraps make your company car stand out and get noticed.

Full car wraps are pretty popular among car enthusiasts these days. Without damaging the resale potential of your vehicle, you can make your automobile look as cool or as ridiculous as you want. Remember the gouge-your-eyes-out neon colors of the ‘90s? Now, you can cover your car with them. iQCU wanted to go beyond simply changing the color of their vehicle. They wanted a uniquely Pacific Northwest look. So, they contact Specialty Graphic Solutions for Scion plaid car wraps in Vancouver, WA.

Let Us Introduce You to Our Friends iQCU

You’ve probably heard all about iQ Credit Union (iQCU) if you’re a regular around these parts. We won’t hold it against you if you skip ahead. For the uninitiated, iQCU has been serving the area with a broad range of financial products and services for over 75 years. They were originally founded with the goal of serving the education community, but today, they seek to boost the financial intelligence of people of all stars and stripes.

So far, we’ve never said no to an iQCU project. Why would we? Their marketing team is always a joy to work with. In just the last few years, we’ve provided them with point of purchase signs, floor graphics, various different cardboard cutouts, retail standups, and an array of other signs and graphics. This also wasn’t our first time hooking them up with car wraps. In fact, a couple years ago, we wrapped the exact same car with paisley graphics! This time, they knew they could count on the mighty sign makers at SGS to print and install Scion plaid car wraps in Vancouver, WA.

iQCU Got the SGS VIP Treatment

First thing’s first: we had to meet with iQCU’s marketing team. After all of the usual pleasantries and catching up, we got down to business. The client had a 2017 marketing theme that played off of their branding as well as the Pacific Northwest’s love for plaid shirts. This year, plaid is used frequently throughout all of the Credit Union’s marketing materials. They wanted their Scion to get in on the fun.

Based on their vision, we created a design that incorporates plaid and their branding. Once they approved the art proofs, we went to work printing them out on top quality vinyl adhesive films specifically designed for use on cars. The design and printing of the wrap were easy, but next came the hard part: installation.

First, we removed the old paisley wrap. It was still in great shape, but it was no longer relevant. The tough part was making sure all of the plaid panels were perfectly aligned for a seamless look. As usual, we knocked it out of the park. In the end, iQCU was thrilled with the look of their new wrap. Now, as they travel throughout Vancouver, they’ll draw attention to their latest marketing campaign.

Are you tired of your marketing campaigns falling flat? Do you want to take your latest effort to the next level? If this sounds like you, contact SGS today for a free consultation on vehicle wraps!

Nissan NV “Sings” it’s Message Across Vancouver with Van Wraps!

By | Vehicle Wrap | No Comments

Is your current marketing strategy not measuring up? Or, perhaps, you’re a small business owner and advertising isn’t your forte? No problem! With van wraps, Vancouver businesses of all kinds will bring their branding to a real crescendo while also looking sharp. Beacock Music recognized this and contacted the mighty sign makers at Specialty Graphic Solutions for vinyl vehicle wraps…and slightly flat music puns.

Beacock Music Wanted to Croon “All Around the Town!’

Located on Southeast 163rd Avenue in Vancouver, Beacock Music is a family owned business that has been serving the area for nearly four decades. The store is geared toward band students, offering music lessons in musical surroundings. They also supply instrument repairs, sales, and rentals. Founders Dale and Susan Beacock and their children Russ and Gayle have helped build Beacock into one of the largest independent music stores in the nation.

Beacock wanted to work in concert with us because they had a brand new Nissan NV that they’re using to visit area schools in support of their music programs. This was the second van of theirs that we wrapped. Their vans run all throughout Southwest Washington, the Gorge, out to the Coast, as well as the Willamette Valley.

Wraps with a Purpose

Before we get into the details of the work SGS did, we need to give credit where credit is due. All of the design work for this wrap was done by Imagineering Graphics. Gary Hollingshead is the owner over at Imagineering, and we’ve partnered for both of the van graphics projects for Beacock Music. It’s a pleasure working with Gary, and he always provides us with spot-on designs.

Once we had the design, we went to work printing it out using our state of the art, wide format digital Roland printer. We used 3M’s iJ480 Envision Cast wrap film and laminate. We like this vinyl, since it stretches further and holds up longer than other cast vinyl. Plus, it’s eco-friendly and is PVC-free.

Two of our expert installers spent the morning transforming the Nissan NV van from a plain white Brahms lullaby to a classy Glenn Miller Orchestra of eye catching color and pizzazz. In the end, Beacock Music was totally satisfied.

Start Your Advertising Campaigns on a High Note

Not sure if vehicle wraps are for you? Consider this:

  • About 30 percent of consumers make their buying decisions based on mobile ads.
  • One wrap can reach up to 70,000 people in just one day.
  • It costs less than eight cents for every one thousand people you reach with a vehicle wrap.
  • According to a study by 3M, people remember 95 percent of the graphics they see.
  • To reach the same marketing power as partial or full vehicle wraps, you’d need to spend $130,000 on other forms of advertising.

Kinda makes you think, doesn’t it? Building your brand is about conducting a symphony of methods for getting your name out there. Vehicle wraps are your best player. For a standout performance, contact us for a free consultation and quote on vinyl wraps today.
