Push Thru Sign for Legacy 6

By | Truck Lettering, Uncategorized, USDOT Lettering
push through acrylic lit sign with brushed aluminum

Push thru signs use a solid piece of acrylic that is routed into letters then inserted into the sign face.  In this case, we used clear acrylic letters with a translucent green vinyl to give the sign the glow.  The number 6 in the logo is clear acrylic with a brushed aluminum laminate face.  This creates a halo-lit effect for just that element.  The sign itself is a lighted cabinet.  The led strip lights inside create a very even light distribution.  The face of the cabinet had the same letters routed out so the acrylic letters can ‘push thru’.

Legacy 6 Construction takes great pride in their logo and lighted push thru signs create a modern look in their office lobby.  The first impression some customers get is your business lobby.  A lighted lobby sign like the one here is unique and eye-catching.

Mighty Sign Maker lobby dimensional letters on wall

Rebranding, All Over the USA

By | Inside Signs, Interior Signs, Lobby Signs, Reception Area Signs

When Astadia needed to rebrand five locations with new lobby signs they called The Mighty Sign Makers for rebranding help.  With just a single point of contact, our client was able to complete sign projects in Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Jacksonville, FL; Raleigh, NC; and Nashua, NH. This meant that our client’s marketing team could stay focused on the needs of their customers instead of all the details involved in coordinating a lobby sign project in each location separately.  Specialty Graphic Solutions fabricated, shipped and installed five great lobby signs. This ensured a consistent and high-quality brand image is conveyed in all of their US offices.  Ordering and installing new signage, as part of a company rebranding, is often one of the last priorities.  Corporations with multiple locations nationally or internationally either have an in-house design department or they use a separate design company.  What they don’t have is production and installation capabilities.  That is where we come in.

The lobby signs they designed all feature a brushed metal panel with raised letters and the logo that welcome clients and employees alike to the Astadia offices. The new logo represents the direction of the company and the future it envisions for clients. Astadia’s CEO, Rebecca Rogers Tijerino, explained the colorful design as such: “The triangle symbolizes creativity; the delicate combination of colors is the powerful combination of ideas and skills; the peak points to the cloud, where technology and our aspirations lie; and its shape resembles an ‘A’ for Astadia.”

At Specialty Graphic Solution, we make it easy to create signs for multiple locations. We take care of all the details for you – including arrangements for local installers to ensure your new signs are displayed professionally in each unique location.  It was exciting to work with Astadia as their company starts this new chapter. The company specializes in streamlining and improving data resources for businesses so they can function better and grow.

We will help you Get Noticed when rebranding, lobby signs, reception signs, corporate values and core belief displays and other indoor signage.  The Mighty Sign makers also produce excellent building signs, vehicle graphics, fleet graphics, trade show displays, window graphics, event signage, wall murals and more.

Your Lobby Says a Lot; Dress it for Success

By | Interior Signs, Lobby Signs

It’s about that brushed metal letters on a reclaimed wood wall, isn’t it?  There are things we can’t control. It’s a fact of life. Some things just happen and you can’t stop them. One of the things you control is creating an exciting lobby sign for your reception area.  If you think the lobby sign isn’t putting your companies best foot forward then it’s about time you did something about it. Go to your lobby and look straight in the reception desk and if you are not blown away you have an opportunity. It’s a shame because it was a good lobby for someone back in the days before you bought the building. Now, it wishes it were younger and better looking, so it’s just bitter. It drives away your business, makes you look bad, and even though your mom keeps asking you to give it another chance, it’s time you let it go.

You might have some reservations. You have fond memories of when you first walked in those doors and decided to buy the space. You can remember your first client sitting, just there, in that horribly ugly green chair.

Just remember you didn’t turn your back on the lobby, it turned its back on you.

First Impressions

Your lobby sign is the first thing that people see when they come into your space. It does two things. First, it lets people know that they’re not lost and that this is the building they were looking for. Next, it sets an impression of you and the way you do things. Your lobby is usually the first thing in your building that really works to build your brand. When people realize that they’re in the building they need to be in, don’t make them regret it.

With Specialty Graphic Solutions, we can help you make sure that your lobby leaves an awesome first impression on anyone who visits your office. We make awesome lobby signs that can build your brand the minute people walk in your door. You’ll let people know where they are, but also who you are. You can start making that good impression with a professional modern sign made to your specifications in your desired material.

Depending on the look you want and the message you want to send, you can choose from glass, metals, wood, stone, or different types of lettering to make your sign and your lobby your own.

We also have tons of other products that can add a bit of flair and personality to your lobby. From prints and banners to wayfinding and ADA signs, we can provide all kinds of products that can help you with your lobby problem and build your brand.

With a brand-new lobby sign and a few of our graphics, you might even be able to keep that ugly green chair.

Reception Area Sign for Biggs Insurance in Vancouver!

By | Lobby Signs, Reception Area Signs

Is there any industry more competitive than the insurance industry? You can just smell the desperation dripping from that long-lost-and-forgotten high school acquaintance as they run into you at the Wine and Jazz Festival or other events and promptly start asking about whether you have life insurance.

Smart insurance agencies don’t need to rely on awkward “natural marketing.” They realize that branding is the key to sales success. If your insurance company’s name is ingrained in people’s heads, then you’re the one they’ll contact when they need homeowner’s insurance. Biggs’ Insurance Services is well aware of this, so they contacted the mighty sign makers at Specialty Graphic Solutions for reception area signs for insurance agencies in Vancouver, WA.

What’s the Biggs Deal?

No, Biggs Insurance Services isn’t the insurance company started by American Pie star Jason Biggs after they stopped making straight-to-DVD sequels. They go back much further than that. In 1935, two brothers founded The Whitfield Company real estate and insurance agency. Don Biggs purchased the company in the ‘50s and gave it his name. Now, from the corporate office on Main Street in Vancouver, they offer auto insurance, homeowner’s insurance, surety bonds, risk management services, life insurance, and much more.

When a business that does such a good job of keeping local individuals and businesses from facing financial disaster came to us for lobby signs for insurance agencies in Vancouver, WA, we were glad to be of assistance. They have a nice dimensional letter sign on the exterior of their building, but they wanted a way to welcome clients into their reception area. We knew just what to do.

We Had Biggs Ideas

We met with Biggs to discuss their ideas for the project, and so we could take a closer look at their venue. They had a big, blank focal wall that would look rather nice adorned with a lobby sign. Based on their vision, budget, and branding, we came up with an art proof of what their finished sign could look like. They loved it, so we started fabricating it.

We started with a simple white panel and added cut vinyl graphics that perfectly matched Biggs’ branding. It’s important to have your marketing materials match if you want to maintain brand consistency. It’s like branding someone’s brain with your company’s logo: they can’t help but think of you when they need your services.

Once the piece was ready, we worked with Biggs’ schedule to install the markers when they weren’t trying to conduct big business deals. We mounted the sign with standoffs so it looks like it floats off the wall. In the end, we had another satisfied client.

Let Us Help You Attract Clients

Tired of feeling like ol’ Needle Nose Ned accosting Bill Murray with insurance pitches in Groundhog Day? Try a new tactic: boost your brand recognition. This can be done by creating a snazzy logo and getting it in front of as many eyes as possible as many ways as possible including in your lobby area.

One-Stop Guide to Lobby Signs in Vancouver WA!

By | Interior Signs, Lobby Signs

Tired of stopping at multiple guides to learn about lobby signs? Don’t do it anymore! The mighty sign makers at Specialty Graphic Solutions have put together this one-stop guide to lobby signs in Vancouver, WA to help you welcome in clients and guests while building your brand awareness. Check out these solutions:

The World of Lobby Signs!

Acrylic Letter Lobby Signs – Acrylic cut letters are a popular option for interior signs. Don’t worry: they aren’t made of repurposed fake fingernails though that could be a million-dollar idea. Instead, we use high-quality materials that come in dozens of standard colors. Or, we can paint your acrylic marker any color you want to match your other marketing materials. In addition, we’ll cut the letters and logos to any width, depth, or height you want.

Acrylic Logo Panels – Acrylic also works well in panel-form. We just take a slab of clear acrylic and cut it to any shape or size you need. Then, we add digitally-printed vinyl adhesive films featuring your logo and company name. Next, we install the panel with spacers to give it a three-dimensional appearance without ever needing to wear those weird 3D glasses. Of course, you’re welcome to wear 3D glasses if you want.

Metal Laminate Letter Signs – With individually cut metal laminate letters, you’re able to get the same elegant look of solid metal without having to blow your entire marketing budget. We take a thin layer of real metal alloy and apply it to PVC, high-density urethane (HDU), acrylic, or other substrates. The letter is then routed to match your corporate logo or font. Metal laminates come in several different colors, including gold, silver, and Blue Steel.

HDU Letters – HDU letters are the smart option if you want a reception area marker with depth. Also referred to as sign foam, HDU letters are popular because they’re versatile and good for the environment. If you want a glossy appearance, we’re able to apply an acrylic laminate to the letters. Or, if you need precise detail, our large format digital printer will print directly onto the letters.

Illuminated Lobby Signs – If you’re thinking of getting an illuminated reception area sign, we’re required by law to warn you that they’re only for trendy businesses that are on the cutting edge. VHS rental stores need not apply. Backlit lobby signs usually have acrylic faces through which LED lights shine. You don’t have to worry about your electric bills since LEDs are energy efficient as well as low maintenance.

This is just a sampling of what we have to offer. When you contact us, you don’t need to know what you want. That’s the job of our mighty sign makers. They take your goals, company culture, and budget and turn them into top-notch signage recommendations.

No matter what industry you’re in, even if you’re still somehow renting out VHS tapes, we’ll help you find a lobby sign that’s right for your organization. To get started with a free consultation on lobby signs in Vancouver, WA, contact SGS today!

Metal Lobby Signs Offer a Professional Look!

By | Interior Signs, Lobby Signs

What does a professional look like? Perhaps, you envision someone in a nice suit. Or, maybe the Blazers’ star point guard Damian Lillard comes to mind. Some of you may even think of that one ‘90s movie with Natalie Portman in it. Well, at Specialty Graphic Solutions, we immediately think of metal lobby signs for Vancouver, WA when we’re asked for professional signage. Fortunately, we work in the signage industry, and this isn’t a weird response at all. Check out some of our handiwork:

Aluminum Panel Lobby Signs

One of the most affordable metal options you will find on the planet is aluminum. It’s also valued for its durability and versatility. That’s why we often recommend it to companies looking for a professional appearance that won’t break the bank. Astadia was just such a company. We reproduced their complex company logo perfectly using digitally printed adhesive vinyl. We added a brushed metal finish to add texture to the sign to make it really stand out.

Raised Letters with Brushed Metal Finish

Speaking of brushed metal finishes, we produced raised letters, also called dimensional letters, for one of our favorite clients, iQ Credit Union, featuring the brushed metal look. Raised letters are an excellent way to make your name pop out at visitors. We can installed spotlighting hidden near plants, or your reception area markers can be installed on a focal wall with plenty of lighting to produce an elegant play of light and shadows.

Gold Laminate Lobby Signs

Obviously, if we were all as rich as a certain GOP presidential candidate, we’d have lobby signs made out of pure gold. Unfortunately, we don’t all have that kind of money (or hair). Not a problem! We’re able to take the thinnest of gold laminates and apply them to just about any substrate to give off the appearance that you’re rolling in the “Benjamins.” That’s exactly what we did for Angus Lee Law Firm when we applied gold laminate to an aluminum composite sign panel.

Aluminum Laminate Dimensional Letters

Though aluminum is much more affordable than gold, it’s also used as a laminate. There are several reasons why clients choose this option. While aluminum is the least expensive metal that’s used in sign making, it’s still more expensive than other materials, such as sign foam or acrylic. Also, it’s rare to find aluminum that’s thicker than half an inch. If you want dimensional letters that are thicker than that, you’ll need a substrate. For Vesta Hospitality, we added an aluminum laminate to PVC to produce their unique logo.Vesta Hospitality, we added an aluminum laminate to PVC to produce their unique logo.

As you can see, metal has a wide variety of applications in lobby signage. And, you may have also noticed the types of businesses that use these markers: primarily law firms, accounting firms, and banks and credit unions. In addition to having a professional look, metal lobby signs for Vancouver, WA also project an image of stability and longevity.

If these are characteristics your organizations is trying to convey, contact the mighty sign makers at SGS today for a free consultation on metal reception area signs.

These Office Signs Gave Qualident Dental Lab Something to Smile About!

By | Interior Signs, Lobby Signs

You don’t need to have all of your teeth to know that lobby signs are a must when you’re relocating your business. You don’t even need to supply people with false teeth to know the importance of new office signs. Teeth are actually quite irrelevant to your signage needs. Unless, of course, you’re Qualident Dental Lab. They recently contacted the mighty sign makers at SGS for office signs Vancouver WA would remember.

What Does Qualident Do?

With a brand new location near Fort Vancouver High School, Qualident Dental Lab is a successful, fast growing business. As a full service dental laboratory, they specialize in providing high end dental appliances to dental practices. They aim to offer consistent top quality products, outstanding customer support, and fair prices. They supply dentures, partial frames, several types of crowns, and much more.

When such an upstanding company came to us for waiting room signs for Vancouver, WA, we couldn’t wait to sink our teeth into this project. We’d worked with Qualident before to supply them with trade show displays and vehicle graphics. The Qualident team also kept us in the loop with plans to expand the enterprise. This company is SO good they simply had too much work for the facility to handle. When the time came to move to the new venue, we were right there to help make their brand shine bright in their new digs!

What the Mighty Sign Makers Did for Qualident

Qualident needed a lobby sign as well as directory signs for their event rooms. We designed the lobby marker to have an impact. We started with a 3mm thick brushed silver aluminum composite panel that measured eight feet wide by 37.5 inches high. We then perfectly rendered their logo in quarter inch thick PVC. The color matching of the beautiful turquoise color in the logo really stands out with the metallic silver and black. Finally, we installed the new marker with satin chrome standoff mounts to set it off from the wall.

In their new facility, Qualident has a conference room for smaller events along with a large seminar room for training their dental clients. They wanted an economical and easy way to post the names of their events by the meeting rooms. We had just the answer.

For the room signs, we began with ProSign System curved displays. We then inserted a printed header featuring Qualident’s branding into the top of the aluminum frame and installed the markers. Now, whenever there’s an event, they can simply print out the relevant information on an 8.5” by 11” sheet of paper using their standard desktop printer and copy paper. There are no special materials or equipment needed to get custom, professional messages any time they want.

We provide services to a broad range of industries that offer services both inside and outside of your mouth. We’ll work with your vision and budget to create the perfect solutions for your enterprise. If you’re ready to turn your office into a branding powerhouse, contact SGS today for a free consultation on waiting room signs for Vancouver, WA.

What’s Next for Roofline Supply? A Lobby Sign of Course!

By | Interior Signs, Lobby Signs

Having a storefront to display your products and services isn’t just about having a roof over your head and some exterior signs to entice new shoppers. Interior signage is crucial for building your brand and converting sales. One way to do this is with professional looking lobby signs Vancouver WA clients will notice. Roofline Supply realized this, so they called in the friendly experts at Specialty Graphic Solutions.

Roofline Supply Keeps You Covered

Roofline Supply & Delivery has locations throughout Idaho, California, Utah, Arizona, Oregon, Hawaii, and now Northeast 13th Avenue in Vancouver. Since they first opened their doors nearly a quarter of a century ago, they’ve grown to offer a full line of commercial roofing products. They provide on time, safe, and complete delivery of roofing products to builders, professionally licensed contractors, and homeowners.

When such a great regional chain decided to set up shop in our community, we were more than happy to help them out with reception area signs Vancouver WA consumers would remember. Roofline already knew that they were going to get the best service in the business, since we’d outfitted their new building with exterior building signs and window graphics. This time, though, they were in the market for a large lobby sign to help them brand in their showroom and make customers feel welcome.

SGS Nails It Again

Roofline already had a logo when they came to us. We just needed to incorporate it into the lobby sign. After consulting with the client, we decided a dimensional letter sign would work best. For both the logo and letters, we used quarter inch thick black PVC. The letters were custom routed to match Roofline’s font. They were then painted with a black satin finish. For the logo, we applied top quality white cut vinyl to the black PVC.

The finished product is about four feet high by nine and a half feet wide. To put the sign up on the wall at Roofline, our mighty sign markers created an installation template that would make sure the letters lined up correctly and allow us to complete installation in a timely manner. It worked! We were done in 90 minutes, and Roofline was happy with their beautiful new lobby sign.

“Hey! Can You Do that for My Business?”

Believe it or not, we’re able to fabricate lobby signs for every type of business in any industry. Some of the more popular reception area signs we produce are

  • Foam Lettering – If you want to have maximum depth in your lobby sign, foam letters are the way to go. For a glossy look, you can add an acrylic face.
  • PVC Lettering – PVC letters continue to be a favorite option for indoor signs. We have a wide array of standard colors, or we can paint your marker with a custom color or finish.
  • Metal Laminate – With metal laminate letters, you get the professional look and elegance of a metal sign without having to blow your whole marketing budget on a sign made entirely out of a metal alloy.

We also offer several other options. To learn more, don’t hesitate to contact us for a free consultation. Real, live people await your call!

Fantastic-Looking “Legal Eagle” Lobby Sign for Local Law Firm!

By | Lobby Signs

When visitors enter the lobby of your business, is there any way for them to tell that they’re in the right place? Or, are they forced to ask your already-swamped receptionist? And, while we’re asking questions: would consumers recognize your logo if they saw it in a lineup? If you aren’t welcoming clients with a lobby sign, you’re missing a great branding opportunity. Angus Lee Law Firm recognized this, so they contacted the mighty sign makers at Specialty Graphic Solutions for lobby signs for attorneys in Vancouver, WA.

Angus Lee Law Firm’s Expertise

Located in Vancouver and defending cases throughout Washington, Angus Lee Law Firm, PLLC is the law practice of Angus and Jennifer Lee. They’ve served as lead counsel in criminal cases ranging from DUIs to homicides. And, they’ve argued cases before the Washington Court of Appeals as well as the Supreme Court for the state. They also believe in giving back to the community along with our nation: both have served in the United States Marine Corps.

When such upstanding members of our area came to us for a lobby sign for their law firm in Vancouver, WA, we’d have to plead insanity to pass up the chance to help out. Angus’s new location had plain white walls in the reception area leading to his office. The first step was to for us to listen to his vision and goals. He had the following criteria:

  • The sign must look professional to reflect the professionalism of the firm
  • They wanted a dimensional sign – not a flat panel
  • It must incorporate the firm’s existing red and gold logo
  • Oh yeah, and they needed it completed – designed, produced, and installed – within nine business days!

With these types of signs, we don’t generally have such a short turnaround, but we can always do our best to make special accommodations for clients who need a project completed quickly.

We Admit to the Allegations that We Created an Outstanding Lobby Sign

We were on the clock, so we had to get down to work right away. To create the dimensional look, we took a two-tiered approach. For the first level, we used 3mm brushed gold Alupanel aluminum composite sign material to portray the rich metallic appearance of the firm’s red and gold logo. For the second tier, quarter inch thick P95 frosted acrylic was mounted three-quarters of an inch off the gold panel. The frosted panel was bright enough to create a sharp contrast with the logo while still being transparent enough to let a hint of the brushed gold back panel through.

We applied cut vinyl text to the face of the acrylic to perfectly match the Angus Lee branding. Overall, the construction was kept simple enough to allow us to create the sign and install it within a few days. The finished product was five feet wide by twenty inches high and standoff mounted for extra dimensionality!

Angus had no objections to the finished project. In fact, he was extremely pleased. Case dismissed! Next on the docket: a new building sign for the firm!

Now that you have enough evidence to reach the verdict that your enterprise needs reception area signage, please consider contacting SGS for a free quote and consultation today!
